I have noticed that when I edit a preset from the factory bank sometimes it does not save the characteristics properly.
What I have done is I edit a factory preset, use the save as feature, then maybe just add a 2 at the end of the name. So for example instead of Classic Bass, now i have Classic Bass2. That part works fine. Then what I do with Classic Bass2 is go into the characteristics section and click on my sounds so that I can click my sounds later on I can have a listing of all the presets I have edited from the factory bank. It stays there until I close Circle / close my app.
The next day when I come back, I fire up a host, put circle on a track, but then when i click my sounds in the styles section of sounds, the ones i marked as my sounds arent there anymore. This does not seem to be host specific as it has happened to me in Ableton Live and Renoise (Circle works really well in Renoise by the way).
The workaround so far I am using is remembering that when i edit a preset, to save it in the "my set" bank. Then I have an easy place to find factory presets i have edited , or brand new presets.
It is a minor issue and just thought I would point it out. Keep up the good work as I love this synth alot!! With the addition of wavetable import I have been constantly using Circle lately and plan to share a large set of wavetables with all of you sometime soon
