    ( 1 ) iPhone/iPod Touch as Multi-Touch Circle Controller

    TouchOSC is an application that allows you to use the iPhone/iPod Touch as a wireless Lemur style mutli-touch controller for Circle.
    RJ Fischer, the developer, contacted us earlier this week and since then we have been using it extensively with Circle. Visit the site http://hexler.net/touchosc where you can find out more info.

    ( 2 ) FAW And CDM at DEAF Festival

    DEAF, the Dublin Electronic Art Festival takes place in various venues around Dublin from October 22nd - 27th.

    We’ll be hosting an open workshop with ourselves and Peter Kirn from CDM ( http://www.createdigitalmusic.com ), covering topics from the basics of sound through to building your own audio tools and interfaces. Also happening as part of the same event is the screening of Totally Wired, the documentary film about Schneider’s Bureau in Berlin, followed by Q+A from Andreas Schneider and director Niamh Ahern.

    Also giving a talk are the BBC Radiophonic Workshop presented by Dave Vorhaus and Mark Jenkins. (White Noise, UK).

    The workshop takes place on Saturday, 25th of October, in the The Auditorium, Digital Exchange, The Digital Hub, Crane St, Dublin 8 from 10am-6pm

    ( 3 ) Research Partnership with NUI Maynooth

    NUI Maynooth is a leading research institute in the area of music signal processing. We’re delighted to be working with them on some interesting new modules for Circle, the first of which is an new take on FM Synthesis, based on the paper presented at this years DAFX Conference by NUI Maynooth researchers Dr. Victor Lazzarini and Dr. Joe Timoney.

    Are you an Educator or Student looking to use Circle as part of your teaching program or studies? Also, we are currently working on a exercise based tutorial covering the basic’s of synthesis and sound design, using Circle as the teaching tool.
