I'm am very very close to purchasing circle because I think that your approach is absolutely top notch and the design is beautiful, plus your based in Ireland which is pretty cool.

Anyway I have been using the demo all day and there are a few things I'd like to know. When I was programming a pad patch I found that if you were holding down a note and you played more notes so that the voice was stolen by another note then that new note would enter (briefly) at the same stage in the envelope as the previous voice causing an odd discontinuity. I was wondering if this is a bug or something to do with the voice stealing method.
Will it ever be considered making the Randomise button midi assignable?
Also I know that these two things are in massive and I'm sure you don't want Circle to just become its clone (and it definitely isn't) but would you consider adding in a right click menu for modulation routing and also is it possible a dual value slider will be added when you are changing modulation values for LFOs so you can see from what values it is modulating in between as it is a bit confusing at the moment. Also when do you think OSC will be added for windows as I was hoping to get some Max patches working with it.

  2. Hi D_13,

Firstly, we're glad you like Circle and thanks for the feedback. I have gone through your points below.

    1) When a voice is stolen, the new note doesn't reset the envelope to 0, but instead, takes on the level of the previous playing note. This is similar analog synths. You say there could be audible discontinuity, I'll look further into this.

    2) We can make the randomise button midi assignable, I'll add it as a feature request for the next update.

    3) I don't fully understand the point on modulation routing right click. Is it that you can change the level of the modulation at the source ie. at the output circle?

    4) OSC for windows is the highest priority for the next update.

I hope this answers your queries.

Thats cool, thanks very much. By the right click thing I meant that if you were to right click on an empty mod. circle then a little menu with all 13 of the modulator circles available for selection would pop up but on typing this out I think it would probably detract from the elegance of the program!
Great to hear about OSC being next, I think I've upgraded to a definite purchase!

  4. Ok, I see what you mean. We consciously avoided right click menu's and but as you pointed out there are cases where it could be useful, however we want to keep the work flows consistent with the visual approach. The OSC on the PC is a top priority.
