CPU economy mode resets when selection a new patch

(3 posts)

  1. After weeks of enjoying tweaking in the beta I recently purchased Circle and am using it with Ableton Live 7. Fantastc! I've also been blogging about it on my blog http://www.modulatethis.com (see http://www.modulatethis.com/2008/07/faw-circle-synt.html and http://www.modulatethis.com/2008/06/future-audio-wo.html).

After 1.0.2 released, I was excited about the CPU economy mode option. I was expecting that I'd drop an instance of Circle, then for that instance I'd toggle this mode on and it would stay that way till I turned it off. Instead, I set it and if I switch patches, it resets the mode back to "off". Is this intended or a bug?

Here is my vote for behaviour. It stays in the state I set it to per instance until I change it again. That way, I could have one instance with it on, and one with if it off for example.

  3. Hi newecho,

I understand what you are saying, where by you would like to apply economy mode to all presets over just a single preset.
At the moment, economy mode is the same as any parameter, it is saved in each sound and only when you specifically save.
