Certain patches cause CPU overload

I recently bought a full license for circle. I'm pretty happy with it overall.

There are certain patches (maybe like 20 total) that as soon as they are selected, will make a click, then a whole crapton of noise, as the CPU climbs to the top (even with no notes being pressed).

    My setup:
Intel core2 quad, running on windowsxp, 2gig ram.
    Sequencer host: renoise

If it will help I can go through and document each patch that has this behavior.

Actually, the 1.02 version fixed the problem.

    Nice work guys.

Not for me, I nearly went deaf when diving the demo a go (I was with my earbuds).

    Ok:

System: Macbook Pro 2.16 Core 2 Duo, OS X 10.5.3, 2 Mb DDR
Host: Logic Pro 8, latest updates

Synthoms: lots of presets affected, maybe 26% of them, several MIDI keypresses with no sound and afer some time playing the keys a clipping burst of noise from hell and CPU gone mad to 100%. Sometimes had to reaload the plugin to play other presets, as they all seem to mute after this. Reloading the plugin would let some problematic presets play fine. Looks like a denormal issue or something like that.

Any other Mac users notice this bug?

Ok, so that would be 2 GB DDR in my specs (any reason why we can't edit posts?)

  6. I've got one other report of this. Can you let me know if this is intermittent or if it happens only when you have multiple instances loaded.

    Gavin.

Nope, only one instance of Circle. I'll check back tomorrow to see if it's intermitent.

  9. Hi,

Can you note the presets and send to support@futureaudioworkshop.com
I have a good idea what the cause is, but we can't recreate the issue here. Also, let me know a detailed description of your systems.

    Thanks for the help,
    Gavin.
