Hello, I am graphic designer and I'm very interested in interface design. Of music I do not know anything, and much less about software of musical production. I downloaded the demo of Circle days ago, and I have not managed to make sound in this wonder of software.

I want to know if exists some tutorial for beginners? Or you can say to me how to work in basic form in Circle and to do some sequence of sounds?

    Thank you very much!

  2. Hi Angst,

the best case to work with soft synth is to plug a midi keyboard to your computer.
To make sequences with a soft synth you'll need a host program that will send the midi events to Circle.

You can for example download the demo of ableton live.

There's lots of very good tutorials in Live that will explain you how to launch Circle on a track and write your sequences.

  3. ANGST,
You can click on the Keyboard tab at the bottom of the Circle screen, and trigger the synth with your mouse by clicking the piano keys. A MIDI keyboard would be better, but you can hear the synth with this method. I don't know of a free hosting app that lets you either feed it a MIDI song file or use the computer QWERTY keys to play an instrument.

    Any ideas, Circlers?

  4. Are you on a mac Angst?

If so, you can use Garage band which is part of iLife that comes with a new Mac to make music with Circle.
Here is a link to tutorial on using software instruments in Garage Band.
