    Hi there,

I have been playing with the demo of Circle in Logic 8.02 on OS X 10.4.11. Sometimes the audio output of Circle freezes as if it is repeating a very short buffer. The sound changes with different patches but it is as if all output is in a very short loop. This output is also very loud (I have to turn down the logic fader 30 dB to make it stop distorting, although the sound is still very unpleasant!). I am very tempted to buy but this bug is putting me off. Opening a new instance of Circle or refreshing the Logic audio drivers do not help.

Interestingly, restarting Logic did not help. Neither did changing buffer size. I've also noticed that the noise is unaffected by the Circle volume knob. The problem only happened with the mono version of the plugin though. Strange!

  3. Hi Involver,

This hasn't come up before, I'll try recreating it here. What are your buffer sizes? With the info you have gave it should be ok to find.

I tried 1024 and 128 but it didn't seem to make any difference. The problem started with the buffer at 1024 though. Unfortunately I can't seem to reproduce it now...

Got it again at 128 buffer size. It just seems to sustain forever as if there is a short loop on the output. This is in an empty song with no other plugins. It only happens once I've pressed a note.

  6. Is this playing a short midi sequence and if so, do it start looping when you press stop?

Also what is you "process buffer range" in Logic->preferences->Audio set to?

I have had some problems with some plugins when this is set small, not in Circle though.

This is just playing notes on the keyboard. My process buffer range is medium.

Just noticed something else. If I open a mono Circle it will make the nasty noise as soon as I play a note on it. If I then open a stereo instance the problem stops. If I then take the stereo one out again the problem is back...
