Ellipse is a great set of sounds, combined with a huge amount of new wave-tables that I just recently found at the KVR banks & patches section. Great work! Hope to see more like this. Just waiting for my full Circle license to get my hands on the full version and contribute some patches. :)

Hi Tom

Well thats a pity for you, Logic 64bit is really not the most stable version at the moment because It's using a bridge to run 32bit plugins in the 64bit mode
and soon in the future updates you wont be able to use 32bit plugins at all in 64bit because of the increasing instability caused by the bridge.
many developers FAW included are developing 64bit version's of there plugins now so you will have to just be patient with G-Force that they make a 64bit update, or just use the 32bit version of logic until then when using such plugins.

Please in future posts turn off your caps lock as it is very hard on the eyes when text is written in all caps.

Hi goldenanalog

Yes we really believe in circe as a product with a future and are committed to sticking with it for the long haul.
We have just about finished the OSX Vst and AU version's and are going to focus on the windows version of the standalone & vst plugin.

Have you sent a support case through to us regarding the standalone issue's before?
if you have please send a email to: support@futureaudioworkshop.com
with the case number and we can look into the issues, if not please send
a email to the same address with as much information about your system, sound card and problem as possible so we look into it for coming windows build.

I was off sick and just noticed your post now for some reason It didn't come up In my rss feeder,
As far as I know you can just install it without removing the previous version, the installer should
remove all the relative files automatically.
we have just about finished with the osx version, as soon as we have that done we can
focus on the windows 7 issues.

Hi Mike,
Thank you very much. I found on another forum thread something about the installation procedure. I've upgraded from version 1.0.0 to version 1.0.7 without uninstall previous version, maybe I had to unistall the 1.0.0 before install the new 1.0.7 version? What do you think about it?

Hi, all!

Just was visiting the FAW site, and was SHOCKED to see that Circle is still alive! Or maybe not so dead....

A basic problem: I have NEVER EVER been able to get Circle stand-alone to run with my Presonus Firebox ASIO driver! I CAN get the VST version of Circle to run ASIO-style using Savihost; but that's a work-around....

And It's a GREAT GREAT sounding synth with a nice Big Ballsy sound; I just hope that it's at least not abandoned and looked after (or hopefully even further developed!) in a good way. PLEASE, Gavin!

Hi,
I moved my Cirle from Windows xp (32 bit) to Windows 7 (64bit). Stand alone version works equally fine, but vst plugin has some problem.
I usually use it like plug-in on my Cubase. When you click on the plug-in window a strange white flashing window appear for an instant. This is a problem beacuse it is impossible working on the sound setting if you have to change a menu selection (like the filter type).
Second problem: it seems impossibile to change sound preset, beacuse when you move the mouse, the sound preset windows go hide. For this problem exists a work-around, in fact, when you have opened the sound preset window, before you move the mouse you have to click and hold clicked the right mouse button. Now you can move the mouse searching your sound. The selection will be active when you'll release the right buton.

This is tested on the 1.0.7 version of Circle, on Cubase 6.

It's seems a very little issue to fix and I hope FAW will fix it very soon because the product is really great.

see you,

Sorry for the paying users, among whom I count myself, but I have a strong feeling that we are morons and dumbass. The case of FAW Circle is unfortunately still an argument for hackers; crackers and other pirates ... Sad story!

Despite the fact that it's possibly not a good idea to add your own wavetables too much, I thought I would upload my presets to KVR for download, In the future as I said, I might stay away from other wavetables, and just use the factory ones, (Looking forward to the update Gavin) Ummm but for now, you might have some fun regardless.

http://www.kvraudio.com/banks.php?s=list&what=3156&format=&order=date

Please read the important readme file, just to be clear on importing the wavetables.

Cheers anyway.

Nice, glad to know that's been your experience, I'm hoping that continues to be the FAW legacy present and future.

The clear set of controls and layout of Circle is what helped me self tutor patch building just recently, I've many other vst in my folder but, Circle has helped a great deal in re-affirming what's what in modualtion.

I can build a patch in a seconds/minutes through Circles gui where it may take many minutes in another.

That's why I'm happy about the forthcoming re-build of 'Circle' hoping that CPU useage is top of the list, because, it's fun to use, but very hungry.

I've been dicking around with VST stuff for about ten years; guitarist by nature, so more of a "musician" than a keyboard player - mostly program stuff.

I never really clicked with most DAW's until I stumbled across Tracktion in 2004 - because it wasn't trying to replicate a traditional mixing desk / console / recording setup, I swiftly adopted it (and was saddened when Mackie abandoned it).

The same is true with VST instruments for me - nothing ever "gelled" when it came to designing sounds or modifying presets, so I just twiddled the knobs a bit and never really understood what I was doing.

Someone on KVR posted something similar, and one of the users suggested Circle. I downloaded and tried the demo about 6 weeks ago and was really impressed by how immediate the feedback is (you can see and hear the results of what you're doing, or just trialing). Stuff is making more sense to me now, and I'm enjoying experimenting, following the Circle tutorials, and generally having fun with synths again.

I run Win7 / Ableton Live 8 and haven't encountered any problems so far with 1.07.

Forgive the essay - first post.

What are the users using 'Circle' for?

And why do they like using it?

Thought I should add, a foot note, that preset's for now should really only contain the wavetables from the factory file, rather than your own, unless there very specific.

This is in light of 70 or so presets I made which I would love to give away, that contain quite a lot of extra wavetables which you would probaly not want.

I may convert them to the factory wavetables at some point, (shame but there you go). then again, perhaps I will do 2 versions..

Regards.
